White sandy beaches, turquoise water and the green belts of tropical trees is the typical description of any island in Maldives. Aa. Ukulhas, features a special natural environment with a rich and diverse biodiversity. When looked into the natural formation of the island, the island is surrounded with white sandy beaches covered with trees all around, with an enormous reef and lagoon.

On the west side of the island, stretched to a long distance you will see one of the most eye-catching features of the island known as “Olhumathi” beach.  This is the largest beach area found in the island, surrounded by various types of beach plants. In earlier days, even now (very rare) Green Sea turtles and Hawksbill turtles are spotted laying eggs in this area.
