The majority of the Ukulhas beach is covered with Sea Lettuce (Magoo), Screwpine and Sea Hibiscus (Dhigga). Other common trees that can be found in the island are Beach Gardenia (Uni), Banyan (Nika), Portia (Hirun’dhu), Octopus Bush (Boashi), Sea Trumpet (Kaani), Sea Almond (Midhili), Alexandrian Laurel (Funa)and Beach Morning Glory (Thanburu).
Strolling on to the island, you will furthermore see fruit plants such as Noni (Ahi), Guava (Feyru), Water apples (Janburoalu), Crew pine (Boakashikeyo), Coconut palms (Ruh), Banana (Dhonkeyo), Mango (Anbu), Stone apple (Kunnaaru)and Papaya (Falho). These plants are usually grown by the locals of the island. The common types of vegetable plants grown in the island are Green Chilli(Tholhi mirus), Hot Chilli (Githeyo mirus) Brinjal (Bashi) and Moringa (Muranga). Herbal plants such as Indian Aster (Fonidhiri) and Neem (Hithi) are also found in the island.
At every turn, you will discover vibrant flowering plants such as Rose(Finifenmaa), Frangipani (Gulchampaa), Bougainvillea (Boganvilla), Oleander(Kaneeru), Madagascar Periwinkle (Malikuruva) and Hibiscus (Saima) adding beauty to the island.
